Mechanical Technician I - 2nd Shift

Entegris is currently seeking a Mechanical Technician to join our Advanced Purity Solutions Division in San Luis Obispo, CA.

In this role, you will be responsible forperforming tasks related to building our Ultra High Purity Systems. This will include, but not limitedto manufacturing various sub-assemblies to engineering specifications, as well as assist with routing cables and conduit on our systems. This position is expected to always operate in a safe manner and comply with all applicable work instructions.

***This is a 2nd Shift position, working from 3pm-11:30pm

What You'll Do:

  • Learn and understand standard and non-standard options per the Customer Data Sheets (CDS) requirements.
  • Work from instructions, drawings, schematics, piping and instrumentation drawings,illustrationsand processdocumentation to assemble a variety of mechanical, electrical subassemblies and systems with supervision.
  • Follow verbal instructions.
  • Build sub-assemblies with supervision.
  • LearnCabinet Preparation by installing bracketing, piping insulation, and sub-assemblies with supervision.
  • Learn engineering specifications to produce quality andaccurateproductsin a timely manner.
  • Perform routine, repetitive assembly operations and processes to produce quality andaccurateproductsin atimely manner.
  • Complete 6S responsibilities (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety)
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment andmaintainor increase On-Time Shipments.
  • Work safely and recognize the safety of others.
  • Provide accuracy and consistency in work performance.
  • Learn proper measuring techniques, tool use, care, and quality standards.
  • Work with a team as well as independently when needed.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years experience mechanical assembly and/or relevant experience.
  • Ability to learn to navigate through operating system to findBOMs, drawings andinstructions.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to50lbsdaily.
  • Ability to climb ladders and be on your feet for extended periods oftime.
  • Focus on attention to detail to drive plant safety and productquality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic teamenvironment.
  • Ability to learn how handle materialresponsibly.
  • Dependability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends to support businessneeds.
