Lake Erie Tobacco Company is seeking a reliable, safety-focused General Laborer to support production operations in a fast-paced, high-speed tobacco manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, attentive to detail, and committed to following safety procedures, maintaining quality, and meeting production expectations. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately fill out and maintain production paperwork.
  • Load materials to be processed by making machines.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs. occasionally.
  • Safely operate powered pallet jack.
  • Correctly mark and label finished products according to established standards.
  • Pack out finished cases with correct amount of product.
  • Weigh finished product and notify operators if problem arises.
  • Load finished products on pallets.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Production Supervisor or Secondary Manager.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Basic mathematical, written, and verbal skills.
  • Must be able to stand for 8 or more-hour shift.
  • Strong safety orientation required.
  • Have at least 1 year of experience operating manufacturing equipment, a plus.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Preferred tobacco manufacturing experience a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to tobacco dust and industrial warehouse conditions.
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
  • This position may require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
