Job description

Overview
Supervisors in Quality Control are responsible for overseeing day-to-day QC operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing. They provide leadership and direction to QC employees, ensure compliance with company policies and food safety standards, and drive continuous improvement in productivity and employee engagement.
Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to QC employees.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Allocate labor, equipment, and materials efficiently to meet QC goals and production targets.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and complete HACCP, Allergen, Fryer, and other safety/quality reports.
  • Oversee daily QC schedules to achieve safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Direct oversight of QC staff on a shift.
  • Provide hands-on support, coaching, and training for new or less experienced employees.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior supervisors or Chief Supervisor.
  • Diagnose and resolve product, process, and equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Analyze performance data, recommend corrective actions, and implement process improvements.
  • Develop work schedules, training programs, and staffing plans.
  • Decision-making focused on immediate QC and production needs.
  • Partner with Production, Maintenance, HR, and other departments to resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate reports, logs, and metrics for QC, safety, and attendance.
  • Promote teamwork, continuous improvement, and a positive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
Required:
  • Associate's degree in business, Engineering, Food Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-2 years in manufacturing, including leadership experience.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and production reporting systems (ERP/ADP or similar).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Food Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years in manufacturing, including leadership experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience in food manufacturing or related production environment strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety, GMPs, HACCP, and OSHA safety standards.

Pay Range
USD $23.50 - USD $36.00 /Hr.
