Job description

The Company:
ADVICS Manufacturing Ohio Inc. is a leading manufacturer of automotive braking systems. We are dedicated to producing the highest quality, most competitive brakes in the world. ADVICS manufactures caliper disc brakes, Electronic Stability Control units and Electronic Parking Brakes for most of the world's major auto makers. We have been located in Lebanon, Ohio (just North of Kings Island) for over 30 years and proudly employ 1000 amazing team members.
The Role:
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of quality systems, improving supplier processes, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Under general supervision, you will contribute to the enhancement of internal manufacturing processes and provide essential engineering support to our Quality Labs.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Devise sampling procedures and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Assist in establishing programs to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing facilities.
  • Support the development and implementation of methods and procedures for disposition of discrepant material, assessing cost and responsibility.
  • Direct workers engaged in measuring and testing product quality and reliability, and tabulate data concerning materials, products, or process quality.
  • Compile and write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement and 5S activities.
  • Utilize knowledge of systems such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA's, and IATF16949 requirements (automotive background preferred).
  • Possess proficient working knowledge of SPC and MSA

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university in a related field.
  • 1-3 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with DOE and methodical problem-solving processes, as well as the 7 tools of quality.
  • Proficiency in basic geometric dimensioning and tolerance and advanced statistical techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with others.
