Pay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour (depending on assignment and experience)
Location: Livermore, California (onsite at client manufacturing facilities)
Schedule: Multiple shifts available - 1st (6:00a-2:30p), 2nd (2:00p-10:30p), 3rd (10:00p-7:00a)

About the Role
ShareSTAFF is hiring Quality Control Inspectors (QCIs) for third-party inspection, sortation, and containment assignments at automotive manufacturing facilities in Livermore, California. As a QCI on our team, you will perform independent visual inspections of automotive components and assemblies, including seats and interior components, identify defects such as scratches, tears, stains, stitching issues, and missing parts, and ensure that non-conforming items are properly documented and contained before reaching the production line or end customer. This is project-based work supporting major automotive and electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers in the Bay Area.

What You'll Do
  • Unpackage and visually inspect automotive components and assemblies, including seats and interior parts, for defects
  • Identify scratches, tears, stains, stitching issues, fabric flaws, and missing or damaged components
  • Document and report defects accurately using client inspection forms and tracking systems
  • Sort and contain non-conforming items per client quality protocols
  • Repack inspected items and prepare them for shipment to the production line or end customer
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with facility standards
  • Communicate quality findings to supervisors and on-site quality engineers
  • Follow all client facility safety, PPE, and quality system requirements
What You Bring - Required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous quality control, inspection, or manufacturing experience preferred (1+ year)
  • Strong attention to detail - ability to spot small visual defects others may miss
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout a full shift
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to work flexible project-based shifts
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English for documentation and team coordination
What You Bring - Preferred
  • Prior experience as a Quality Control Inspector, QC Technician, Quality Auditor, or Sortation/Containment Inspector
  • Experience inspecting automotive components, seats, interiors, or upholstered products
  • Familiarity with automotive industry quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001, PPAP, CS1/CS2)
  • Experience with third-party quality assurance, sorting, or containment work
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills
