With a steady and growing backlog of work, we are excited to find the right person to join our growing Bay Area team. We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients. We are looking for individuals who are interested in in joining a dynamic team and building their career in the field of construction inspection and materials testing.

We're looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications, and perform routine laboratory tests on soils and concrete, including compaction curves and concrete compressive strength tests.

The Special Inspector will interact daily with owner and contractor teams to inspect active work projects, will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks to meet our client project goals.

Minimum Certifications include (or the ability to obtain within 60 days):

  • ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I
  • Radiation Safety & Nuclear Density Gauge Operation Training
  • ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
  • ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector

Additional consideration will be given to individuals with the following additional certifications:

  • ICC Prestressed Concrete Special Inspector
  • ICC Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector
  • ICC Structural Welding Special Inspector
  • ICC Spray Applied Fireproofing Special Inspector
  • ICC Soils Special Inspector
  • PCI Level II or III
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector
  • NDT Level II in UT
  • NDT Level II in MT
  • NDT Level II in PT
  • TWIC card 

Must be able to use a computer and a general knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook software is required. Must have own vehicle, a valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Must be willing to travel throughout the Bay Area of California.

Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
