About the Position
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to provide administrative support to our COO and the broader Operations team. This six month fellowship is perfect for an individual seeking entry-level operations or development experience and who has an interest in non-profit fundraising, strong time management, and a desire to learn in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. This is a hybrid position that will involve in person work in the Alexandria area at least 1 day a week.
Core Responsibilities
  • Performing administrative duties such as gift tracking, prospect tracking, receipt coding and correspondence
  • Assist with donor acknowledgment processes and stewardship activities
  • Assist with data entry tasks to support development work
  • Support event planning and execution for donor cultivation and recognition as needed
  • Completing assorted errands in the DC area in support of the Operations team
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet expected deadlines
  • Maintain high standard of work in a nimble, fast paced environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience/Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Must have a vehicle that can be used for local tasks and errands
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Interest in nonprofit fundraising and development
  • Willingness to enthusiastically complete administrative tasks to support the department
  • Proven background in operations (tracking receipts, etc) preferred
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Mailchimp is preferred

The pay range for this role is:
25 - 25 USD per hour (Alexandria)
