Job description

Investment Operations Analyst - Boston, MA

We are currently seeking candidates for an Investment Operations Analyst opportunity with a highly successful Investment Management firm located in Boston, MA. This is an entry-level position, providing an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on back-middle office experience with a top-tier Investment Management firm.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, paying between $19-20/hour within a 40-hour work week.
Responsibilities:

  • Analyze monthly fixed income portfolio asset reports for client accounts
  • Submit daily/monthly asset and cash reconciliations for custodian banks
  • Monitor cash flows, daily expenses, collateral holdings, and income receivables for client portfolios
  • Research and report variances and incorrect holdings within accounts, and maintained correspondence with banks on any account issues, monitoring futures and options within client portfolios, ensuring swaps are reported correctly
  • Use Bloomberg to research portfolio discrepancies between the firm and the Bank
  • Provide additional support as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Economics (required)
  • GPA above 3.0 (required)
  • 0-1 years experience (internships included)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups and Pivot-Tables)
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and also independently
  • Demonstrated interest in investment operations
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to learn
