Position Summary:

The Operator 1 team member is an entry-level role on the Spin team. The team’s mission is to produce premium, high-quality ice cream efficiently and package it accurately into pints and tubs. Operator 1 team members play a key role in keeping production moving—operating the line, packaging finished goods, and transferring completed products onto pallets for freezing and storage. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to food and plant safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Operate the production line and assist with production flow, including filling tubs, packaging pints, and assembling 8-pack cases
  • Accurately and efficiently package finished goods (filling tubs and pints into 8-pack cases)
  • Move finished goods to designated locations, including the staging freezer and main freezer
  • Monitor product quality by verifying packaging materials, performing weight checks, checking fill levels, and conducting visual inspections
  • Follow all safety and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) policies
  • Escalate any issues to the Spin Lead and/or Spin Supervisor promptly
  • Follow directions from senior team members to meet daily production targets
  • Support Operator 2 in preparing and loading raw materials, packaging, and sub-assembly ingredients into machinery

  • Prior experience working in commercial food preparation, manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment. 

Knowledge and Critical Skills: 

  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow clear instructions

  • Able to work in a fast-paced production environment

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

  • Basic problem-solving abilities and willingness to ask for help when needed

  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing facility and alongside other teams

  • Reliable, consistent, and able to follow safety and sanitation guidelines

  • Comfortable operating basic commercial kitchen or production equipment (training provided)

  • Fluency in English
