Overview

Salary Range: $40,492-$60,625

The HR Specialist is an entry-level role responsible for maintaining day-to-day HRIS functions, ensuring data accuracy, and providing administrative support across various HR processes. This role serves as a foundational step for a career in human resources, focusing on the operational aspects of HR. Complying with the company's hybrid schedule is an essential function of the job.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains accuracy and integrity of HRIS data through regular entry, transaction approval, and report review.
  • Creates and maintains electronic personnel files and other HR records in accordance with department procedures.
  • Administers new hire data entry, E-verify processes, and coordinates onboarding orientation.
  • Manage training requests, acts as System Administrator for Learning Management Systems (LMS), including enrollment, tracking attendance, and running reports.
  • Provides administrative support for the Performance Management Process, including technical troubleshooting within HRIS/LMS.
  • Responds to routine employee and manager inquiries regarding HR information and policies.
  • Coordinates I-9 verification and manages termination documentation and final paychecks.
  • Support with employee onboarding and recruitment
  • Participates in special HR projects as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in an administrative support role, office environment, or foundational HR capacity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple administrative tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer service mindset.
  • High level of flexibility and ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing: This role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a desk, using a computer, and engaging in phone conversations.
  • Repetitive motion: Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
  • Visual acuity: Close visual acuity is required to read, analyze data on computer screens, and review documents.
  • Hearing and speaking: Must be able to effectively communicate in person, over the phone, and in virtual meetings to exchange information and provide guidance.
  • Mobility: Ability to move around an office environment, attend meetings, and access various office equipment and files. This includes occasional bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Lifting: Occasionally lifting or moving up to 15 pounds, such as boxes of files or office supplies.
  • Travel: Ability to travel independently and as required for business needs (10-25% overnight travel).
