  • Wages:  New Hires: Entry level rate $16.81/hr.; Current employees in the bargaining unit: Please refer to the salary schedule established by the applicable bargaining group
       
Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships)
? Comfortable reading open score choral literature
? Accompany vocal groups during rehearsals and performances
? Play, read and learn new music fluently
? Job may include travel to performances out of the building
? Assist with Choral Library maintenance
? Assist in helping to maintain a positive school climate
? Must be able to communicate and relate to students in a friendly manner
? Work with administration, classroom teachers and other building personnel
? Must be organized
? Must become familiar with building emergency and security procedures
? Job will require flexible work hours beyond the regular school day (after school, evenings, weekends). Advance notice will be given for these dates. A full schedule of events will be provided.
? Successful candidate must possess strong inter-personal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches his/her full potential.
? Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.
? Must be willing to support and implement Davenport's multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics.

Physical Requirements of Position:  (HBV   Yes   No)
Ability to lift fifty pounds and walk extended distances. Ability to bend, squat and kneel in order to work with young children.
Must be physically able to walk the building (stairs included) and general campus on a routine daily basis.
Special Qualification Desired:  (Personal Qualities, Education, Skills Needed, Experience, Etc.)
Ability to play the piano for extended periods of time
Ability to work with high school students
Other duties as assigned
