We're seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to prepare and analyze solid and semi-solid environmental samples, including soil, sludge, and sediment, within our fast-paced environmental testing laboratory in Conroe, TX.
 

This is an exciting opportunity for a laboratory professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys hands-on analytical testing, sample preparation, and producing accurate, high-quality data in support of environmental compliance and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and motivated by supporting daily laboratory operations, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts within a collaborative team environment. 



What You'll Do

  • Perform sample preparation, extractions, digestions, and analytical testing of environmental samples
  • Prepare solid and semi-solid matrices for analysis, including soil, sludge, sediment, and related environmental samples
  • Perform routine laboratory calculations, documentation, and data review activities
  • Review, validate, and document analytical data within LIMS and escalate discrepancies or abnormal findings as needed
  • Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation in accordance with established procedures
  • Support laboratory quality systems, QA/QC programs, audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and compliant laboratory records and documentation
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to meet turnaround times, productivity goals, and client expectations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related scientific discipline; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Demonstrated hands-on analytical laboratory experience, preferably within an environmental testing laboratory
  • Prior hands-on experience with laboratory instrumentation preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience with LIMS systems is a plus, but not required
