NetSuite ERP & IT Systems Administrator Position Summary

The NetSuite ERP & IT Systems Administrator supports and enhances both the NetSuite ERP platform and the core IT systems of a growing metal distribution company based in Orlando.

This role is primarily focused on administering, supporting, and improving NetSuite, which drives finance, supply chain, inventory, and sales operations. In addition, the position provides hands-on support for Windows-based systems and network infrastructure that enable daily business operations.

The ideal candidate has practical NetSuite administration experience, is building or has foundational SuiteScript development skills, and understands how ERP systems connect to real-world operational workflows. This is a business-facing technical role with opportunities to expand into deeper ERP development and systems ownership.

NetSuite ERP & IT Systems Administrator Key Responsibilities

NetSuite ERP (Primary Focus)

  • Administer and support the NetSuite ERP platform, including roles, permissions, workflows, saved searches, dashboards, and custom records
  • Assist in developing and maintaining SuiteScript customizations and workflow automation (SuiteScript 2.x preferred)
  • Support integrations between NetSuite and third-party systems (e.g., EDI partners, shipping systems, CRM platforms, reporting/BI tools)
  • Collaborate with finance, supply chain, sales, and operations teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into system solutions
  • Troubleshoot ERP-related issues involving transactions, data integrity, permissions, and process workflows
  • Support reporting, analytics, and dashboards to improve operational and financial visibility
  • Participate in testing, documentation, and deployment of NetSuite enhancements and updates
  • Help maintain system security, data accuracy, and overall platform performance

IT Systems & Infrastructure (Secondary Focus)

  • Manage Windows-based user accounts, groups, and permissions (Active Directory / Entra ID)
  • Support core network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and VPN connectivity
  • Assist with endpoint setup, patching, software deployment, and licensing management
  • Troubleshoot connectivity, hardware, and system performance issues
  • Work with vendors and service providers to resolve infrastructure or application-related issues
  • Document system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures
  • Follow IT best practices related to security, compliance, and change management

NetSuite ERP & IT Systems Administrator Qualification Requirements

Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Required Qualifications

  • 24 years of experience supporting or administering NetSuite ERP in a business environment
  • Hands-on experience configuring NetSuite (roles, workflows, saved searches, permissions)
  • Exposure to SuiteScript development or strong interest in expanding NetSuite development skills
  • Basic experience working with system integrations, APIs, or data exchanges
  • Understanding of ERP-driven business processes such as purchasing, inventory management, sales orders, and finance
  • Experience supporting Windows environments, including user management and endpoint support
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (VLANs, firewalls, switching, wireless, VPNs)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in distribution, metals, manufacturing, or supply chain environments
  • Familiarity with inventory costing, warehouse operations, and purchasing workflows
  • NetSuite certifications (Administrator, SuiteFoundation, or Developer) or progress toward certification
  • Experience with reporting tools, dashboards, or data visualization platforms
  • Experience working in a small-to-mid-sized business environment with cross-functional responsibilities
