IT Systems Administrator
Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated IT Systems Administrator to support the day-to-day operation of our manufacturing and business technology systems. This position serves as the primary on-site IT resource, providing technical support to users while maintaining Windows servers, Microsoft 365, networking equipment, cybersecurity tools, and other business systems.
As part of a growing organization, the role will also collaborate with corporate IT teams to support enterprise technologies and implement company standards.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide responsive technical support for end users, including computers, software, printers, and mobile devices, and other business technology.
  • Provision and deprovision user accounts, computers, mobile devices, and system access.
  • Administer Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Group Policy, and related services.
  • Maintain Windows workstations, servers, virtualization platforms, backups, and storage systems.
  • Support firewalls, switches, wireless networks, VPN connectivity, and other network infrastructure.
  • Support business applications, including ERP, engineering, manufacturing, and productivity systems.
  • Install updates, firmware, security patches, and system upgrades for supported hardware and software.
  • Assist with cybersecurity initiatives including endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, account security, and compliance activities.
  • Document systems, procedures, and technical changes.
  • Coordinate with vendors and corporate IT teams to troubleshoot issues and implement infrastructure improvements.
  • Cross-train on systems supporting multiple company locations and provide backup support for remote sites as needed.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation or respond to critical issues outside normal business hours when required.
Qualifications
Required
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience supporting Windows-based business environments.
  • Experience administering:
    • Windows Server
    • Active Directory
    • Microsoft 365
    • Windows 10/11
    • TCP/IP networking
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while providing excellent customer service.
Preferred
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (Hyper-V).
  • Experience managing firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure.
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Defender, or other cloud management platforms.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, or similar compliance requirements.
  • Relevant Microsoft, Palo Alto, CompTIA, or other industry certifications.
