Job description

Full Time, Exempt
$56K โ€“ $62K Annually

Turn Data into Insight. Insight into Impact. At Christian Family Care, data isnโ€™t just numbersโ€”itโ€™s a powerful tool that helps us serve children, families, and communities with excellence and compassion. Weโ€™re seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst who thrives at the intersection of data engineering, analytics, and storytelling, and who is excited to use their skills to support a Christ-centered mission. If you love building elegant dashboards, optimizing complex SQL, and translating raw data into executive-level insightsโ€”and you want your work to truly matterโ€”this role is for you.

What Youโ€™ll Do

Business Intelligence & Visualization

  • Design and build interactive, executive-ready dashboards using Power BI (or similar tools)
  • Partner closely with leaders and stakeholders to define KPIs and data requirements

Advanced Analytics & SQL Development

  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries (CTEs, window functions, performance tuning)
  • Use Python for data transformation, analysis, and automated reporting
  • Perform data modeling and schema design to enable self-service analytics

Data Pipeline Architecture & ETL/ELT

  • Architect and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines supporting dashboards and reporting
  • Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance across SQL-based data environments

Data Governance & System Expertise

  • Serve as a technical SME for CRM and operational data systems
  • Document data dictionaries, data lineage, and ETL specifications

The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of technical expertise and professional communication skills, with hands-on experience in Power BI or similar visualization tools, advanced SQL development, Python for analytics and automation, and a solid foundation in data visualization, dashboarding, and data modeling. You are comfortable working with tools such as Google Analytics, Excel, and Git-based version control, and you take pride in writing clean, reliable analytics code. Just as important, you are a clear and confident communicator who can simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, lead productive discussions, manage projects independently, think critically, solve problems creatively, and continuously seek opportunities to learn and grow.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, IT, Statistics, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in BI, data analytics, or data engineering
OR strong entry-level candidates with a solid technical portfolio (e.g., GitHub projects in SQL/Python)
  • Experience with ETL/ELT development preferred

Ready to use your data skills for eternal impact? Apply today and help us turn information into insightโ€”and insight into hope. Christian Family Care is a social services agency with 40 years of serving at-risk children. We have done this by acting with empathy and compassion, embracing diversity, and exemplifying Integrity.

Join the Christian Family Care Team and help us strengthen families and serve at-risk children in the name of Jesus Christ!
