Lowndes is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our Human Resources team. This position is based in our Orlando office and supports all Lowndes offices. This is an entry-level position and an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate looking to launch a career in Human Resources. The position offers hands-on experience across all areas of HR and serves as a great stepping stone for someone eager to learn and grow in a legal environment.
The HR Assistant provides support to the Human Resources Department, assisting with staff recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, annual performance reviews, benefits administration, payroll support, and employee engagement initiatives.
Responsibilities include:

  • Post job ads, screen resumes, interview candidates, and conduct reference checks for non-attorney positions
  • Coordinate with new hires during the onboarding process and create new employee accounts
  • Assist with resolving employee concerns and escalating issues to the head of HR when necessary
  • Support HR initiatives such as employee engagement programs, wellness initiatives, and events
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • This position also serves as a back-up for payroll
