Job description


As a Security Officer - Entry Level - Hospital in Cleveland, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and contacting appropriate personnel when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and document security-related concerns, incidents, and/or daily observations according to site procedures.
  • Support a professional environment by giving directions, assisting with routine inquiries, and communicating clearly with staff, visitors, and emergency responders during security-related events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hospital vaccination requirements apply.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
