Job description

We are looking to bring in-house the tax function that is currently being handled by the outside CPA firm. Here are some of the duties:
• Prepare quarterly financial statements for corporation’s president. Includes income and equity from securities, hedge funds, related corporations, partnerships and miscellaneous investments
• Record and reconcile hedge fund contributions, distributions and quarterly profit and loss allocations
• Review cash activity, reconciliations and weekly cash reports
• Prepare investment schedules, including sales, purchases and income from municipal and corporate bonds, securities and CD’s
• Track investment commitments of employees, family and president for approximately 15 funds
• Prepare annual tax work papers and work closely with external accountants for preparation of annual tax returns for over 50 entities and funds
Reporting to the Controller, the 2 individuals (one at the manager level) will handle all the tax filings as well as
