Role Description The Equipment Sales Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Greenfield, MA. This position is responsible for selling trucks and heavy equipment by identifying customer needs, recommending appropriate solutions, and preparing accurate quotes and proposals. On a day-to-day basis, the specialist will greet walk-in customers, follow up on leads, conduct equipment demonstrations, and maintain detailed records in the sales system. The role includes coordinating with service and parts teams, managing inventory presentation on the lot and in the showroom, and supporting sales promotions. The Equipment Sales Specialist will also handle contract negotiations, assist with financing options, and ensure a professional, customer-focused experience from initial contact through post-sale follow-up.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment and trucks, including features, applications, and basic technical specifications.
  • Proven experience in sales and sales management, with the ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to build rapport and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Effective negotiation skills with a focus on fair, solutions-oriented agreements.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications: familiarity with commercial/industrial markets, comfort using CRM or sales software, valid driver’s license, and the ability to move safely around equipment yards and shop areas.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, strong organization and follow-up, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
