Make a real impact in patient care. As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you'll play a vital role in supporting patients during their healing journey while working alongside nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide safe, compassionate care.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care, including hygiene, feeding, mobility assistance, and comfort measures
- Take and document vital signs, blood glucose levels, intake/output, and other patient information
- Monitor patients and report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, positioning, and basic procedures
- Respond to patient needs promptly and compassionately
- Help maintain a clean, safe care environment and support infection prevention practices
- Assist with equipment and unit support activities as needed
About the Resource Team
The Resource Team is ideal for individuals seeking variety and flexibility. Team members float to different patient care areas throughout the health system, gaining valuable experience across multiple units and patient populations.
Must be able to float to: Midtown, Gateway, and Henderson
Shifts Available: Evenings and Nights
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- BLS Healthcare Provider certification required within 6 months of hire
- Previous patient care experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to perform hands-on patient care in a healthcare environment
- Must complete 5.5 days of paid training
