Who we are at Osmo:
Osmo is a digital olfaction company, on a mission to give computers a sense of smell to improve the health and wellbeing of human life. Why? Our sense of smell both enriches and saves lives, and has a deep and direct connection to our emotions and memory.
Olfactory Intelligence has applications across industries including fragrance, manufacturing, security, medicine, and more. We believe in the power of automation and thoughtfully applied AI/ML to solve problems beyond the reach of human intuition alone. Osmo is headquartered in Elizabeth, NJ, with an additional office in Somerville, MA.
Position Overview
Osmo is looking for a Commercial Sales Manager focused on Turnkey fragrance development, supporting emerging and growth-stage brands across fine fragrance today with near term expansion into home fragrance, and personal care.
This role is built for someone who understands what it actually takes to bring fragrance products into market-from concept through execution-and who can confidently guide clients through both the creative and operational sides of development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of turnkey clients who are entering the fragrance market for the first time.
  • Drive new business opportunities across fine fragrance, home, and personal care.
  • Guide clients through the turnkey development process including fragrance direction, packaging coordination, manufacturing timelines, and launch support.
  • Partner closely with perfumers, evaluators, operations, and production teams to ensure smooth execution.
  • Support fragrance evaluations and help clients navigate scent selection with confidence.
  • Build strong client relationships through high-touch communication and responsiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client business over time through product extensions and new launches.
  • Represent Osmo as a modern, agile, solutions-oriented fragrance partner.
  • Leverage Osmo's technology platforms and AI-enabled development tools to support client ideation and commercialization.

Qualifications
  • Experience bringing fragrance or beauty brands to market.
  • Background working in or alongside fragrance houses, beauty manufacturers, or turnkey partners.
  • Entry-level olfactive training with comfort discussing scent direction.
  • Strong understanding of customer service and client management.
  • Strong relationship-building instincts with the ability to create trust quickly.
  • Comfortable with technology and interested in how AI can support creative and commercial development.
  • Naturally curious, proactive, and energized by new ideas and evolving market dynamics.
  • Excited by ambiguity and motivated by helping build something new.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.

Base Salary: $100k-120k + Commission

For all Full-Time Employees, compensation is just one component of Osmo's total rewards approach, which is designed to support the well-being, growth, and long-term success of our team members. Depending on the role, this may include base salary or contract-based pay, along with access to health, dental, and vision coverage; a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match; flexible paid time off and company holidays; and equity or incentive compensation for eligible roles.
