Job description

As a Background Investigator, you will perform critical investigations to document individuals' criminal history, driving record, involvement in civil litigation, residential history, employment history, social media presence, and overall reputation. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to analyze and evaluate records to ensure that they pertain to the subject under investigation. Detailed record keeping and documentation of your work is essential. You will work primarily as an individual contributor while collaborating within a small team, utilizing specialized software and public records databases. The position requires some occasional local travel and offers opportunities for career progression to senior investigator roles. The candidate must meet the eligibility requirements to be licensed as an Investigator under our Corporate Private Detective license.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct criminal, driving, civil history, and social media background checks.
  • Conduct onsite Courthouse record searches when necessary.
  • Perform social media and online presence searches.
  • Evaluate and verify records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with small team members as needed.
  • Utilize background check software and public record databases.
  • Undertake local travel for investigative purposes.
  • Prepare detailed investigative reports and maintain case documentation.
