Responsibilities
  • Experience delivering and managing water/wastewater infrastructure projects with partial responsibility for budget, schedule, contract obligations, and quality standards
  • Ability to deliver high quality services within budget and schedule constraints
  • Assist with coordinating sub-consultant work
  • May serve as project manager on small to medium sized projects and would assume all project manager responsibilities.
  • Assist project manager with the planning, scheduling, coordinating, supervising, and reviewing of the work of the project team, including: environmental, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation/controls engineers; drafters, technicians; technical experts; and subconsultants
  • Assist project manager with meeting budget, schedule, and quality goals
  • Perform data analysis, system modeling, and hydraulic calculations to size and select facilities
  • Contribute to a culture of effective communication among project teams, clients, partners, and other stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, especially at the staff level
  • Assist with proposal preparation, including development of scopes of work and engineering fee estimates
  • Provide on-the-job training and mentoring of project staff and entry level engineers

Qualifications
  • Degree in civil or environmental engineering or related engineering field
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer
  • Ability to apply critical thinking, analysis, and innovative techniques to develop options and recommendations to solve technical problems
  • Active in professional associations, including attendance and participation in local, regional, and national conferences
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Highly motivated and self-starting
  • Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree preferred.

Compensation Range
An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
