We are seeking a Team Patriot Manager to join our North American Disaster Relief team in North Wilkesboro, NC. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Team Patriot Manager,you will have the opportunity to:
  • Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
  • Shepherd, encourage, and spiritually prepare Team Patriot volunteers before and during deployments, caring for their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in the field.
  • Partner with Operation Heal Our Patriots Chaplains and staff to recruit, select, train, and disciple alumni, while building trust and rapport with volunteers through relatable leadership and shared military experience.
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow a Team Patriot volunteer pipeline from laborers to Site Leadership, enabling capacity for multiple simultaneous disaster responses, including oversight of volunteer coordination, damage assessment, homeowner interaction, and broader community response support.
  • Coordinate all pre-deployment planning to ensure personnel and assets (vehicles, equipment, supplies) arrive ahead of volunteers, while maintaining equipment in a constant state of readiness.
  • Ensure safety, training, and operational procedures are executed with excellence across all deployments while maintaining accurate records of recruitment, deployment, and inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned

What are the qualifications?
Serve with Excellence
As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Prior military experience (preferred; decorated combat experience and NCO or Senior NCO leadership background highly beneficial for credibility with volunteers)
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and public speaking)
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit and build sustainable talent pipelines (preferably in a volunteer context)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and influence volunteers and staff
  • High level of organization, attention to detail, and logistical planning capability
  • Ability to work 12-14 hours per day during disaster response
  • Ability to deescalate conflict and maintain calm leadership under pressure
  • Enthusiasm for manual disaster relief work in challenging environments and a commitment to excellence in service
  • Experience working with veterans in ministry contexts preferred
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies preferred, not required.
