What are entry level desk jobs?

Entry level desk jobs are positions that typically require minimal prior work experience and involve performing administrative or clerical tasks at a desk, such as data entry, answering phones, scheduling appointments, or assisting with office operations. These roles are common starting points for individuals beginning their professional careers and can be found in a variety of industries. Entry level desk jobs help employees gain valuable office skills, experience team collaboration, and learn workplace protocols, often serving as a stepping stone to more advanced roles.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an entry level desk employee, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Entry Level Desk employee, you generally need strong organizational skills, basic computer proficiency, and at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with office software (like Microsoft Office Suite), email systems, and possibly phone or scheduling systems is typically required. Excellent communication, attention to detail, and a customer-oriented attitude are standout soft skills for this role. These abilities are crucial for efficiently managing administrative tasks, supporting team workflow, and ensuring positive interactions with clients or colleagues.

What are some common challenges faced by entry level desk employees, and how can they be overcome?

Entry level desk employees often face challenges such as adapting to a fast-paced office environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously, and learning new software or company-specific procedures. To overcome these, it’s helpful to prioritize tasks, seek feedback from supervisors, and take advantage of any training or mentorship opportunities offered. Building good communication skills and staying organized can also make transitioning into the role smoother and help employees grow more confident in their responsibilities.

B2B Sales Representative Entry-Level

We're looking for an ambitious, bold, and results-oriented individual to join our team as a B2B Sales Representative Entry-Level. In this business-to-business direct outside sales role, you'll be out in the field, connecting with new clients, building relationships, and closing deals.

This position offers autonomy and unlimited earning potential. With uncapped commissions, the harder you push, the bigger the reward. Plus, a weekly base draw option ensures you have support while you get started. This is not a desk job – this is an opportunity to own your success and make an impact.

About Us:

At RISE Financial Group, we are a team of ambitious, service-minded professionals committed to helping businesses in the community and individuals on our team grow and thrive. We value relentless spirits, integrity, and a growth mindset. Our culture is built on the belief that success is earned through hard work, perseverance, and the drive to continuously improve. We're dedicated to providing exceptional service to our clients while fostering an environment where individuals can reach their full potential. Join us, and be part of a team that is determined to rise above and beyond expectations.

Position Overview:

As a B2B insurance agent, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing your own client base. This role involves meeting with business owners and decision-makers to offer our suite of supplemental insurance products and services. You will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you succeed in your assigned sales territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate leads and identify new business opportunities through proactive outreach

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients

  • Present and sell services to decision-makers in businesses

  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with confidence

  • Stay results-focused and achieve sales targets

Qualifications:

  • Strong drive to succeed and challenge yourself to exceed expectations

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to build rapport quickly and take charge in conversations

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently

  • Prior sales experience is not required; however, a minimum of 5 years of professional employment (post high school) is necessary.

  • Must be willing to attain a state health insurance license (assistance is provided)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Earnings Potential: $65,000–$85,000 per year, with uncapped commissions (earn more with every sale) including weekly draw pay, and bonuses.

  • Flexible Schedule: Define your own goals and manage your time.

  • Career Development: Comprehensive training and support to set you up for success, including options for bi-annual retreats, and one-on-one mentorship.

  • Incentives: Enjoy trips, cash bonuses, and stock options.

  • Licensing: Assistance and reimbursement for obtaining your state health insurance license

This is more than just a sales job. It's an opportunity to take control of your future, push your limits, and succeed on your own terms. If you're ready to take charge, we want to hear from you.
