Job description

As a Customs Entry Writer you play a critical role in ensuring our customers' imports move smoothly, compliantly, and on time. You will manage endtoend customs brokerage operations for a dedicated portfolio of accounts, partnering closely with customers, carriers, government agencies, and internal teams.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fastpaced, detailoriented environment and wants to build strong expertise in customs brokerage while contributing directly to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

You will take ownership of daily customs brokerage operations for assigned customers, including:

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers, responding to questions and providing timely, accurate shipment updates

  • Prepare and process U.S. Customs entries and Partner Government Agency (PGA) filings, ensuring full regulatory compliance

  • Open and manage entry files in alignment with defined KPIs and service standards

  • Coordinate shipment clearance with freight forwarders, steamship lines, airlines, and container freight stations (CFS) to ensure timely release

  • Track and trace inbound shipments from port or airport through final delivery

  • Ensure all required documentation and entry packages are accurately uploaded into operating systems

  • Complete customer billing, delivery orders, and required operational reports

  • Maintain and update customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed

  • Collaborate closely with teammates and crossfunctional partners to support coverage, crosstraining, and peakvolume needs

Required / Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6-12 months of customs brokerage or related industry experience

  • At least 2 years in a CHB or operational support environment preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Highly organized, detailoriented, and comfortable working under pressure

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment

  • Teamfocused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)

  • Customs House Broker License preferred but not required

Salary:

$56,000 - $60,000*
