Customer Service Associates
A trip to Bass Pro Shops has been more than a shopping trip since 1972 - it's an adventure. This year, that adventure opens a new chapter in Victor, NY, with a brand-new 90,000-square-foot Outpost at Eastview Mall. As part of our Guest Services team, you'll be the first smile and the last thank-you every customer remembers - and a founding face of this exciting new store.

Position Summary
The Guest Services Associate is often a customer's first and last impression of Bass Pro Shops, greeting, checking out, and assisting our guests to ensure a warm, efficient and legendary experience every visit.
Essential Functions
  • Greets and acknowledges all customers in a prompt, warm and friendly manner.
  • Accurately and efficiently processes customer transactions using the computerized Point of Sale register system.
  • Handles cash, credit and gift card transactions in accordance with company cash-handling policies.
  • Answers and routes incoming calls and responds to general customer questions (Phone Operator).
  • Resolves customer questions, returns, exchanges and concerns at the Customer Service desk.
  • Prepares and serves Snack Shop food and beverage items, following food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Provides information, assistance and direction to customers throughout the store.
  • Promotes programs including, but not limited to, CLUB Membership, VOC and In-Store Pick-up.
  • Keeps work area, registers and Snack Shop clean, neat and well stocked with supplies.
  • Follows all Company Policies and Procedures.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED
Experience / Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Minimum Degree Required: High School education or equivalent experience
  • Snack Shop positions may require a local food handler certification (training/support provided)
Skills & Qualities You'll Bring
  • Warm, upbeat communication skills - you set the tone for every visit
  • Comfortable with basic math, cash handling and our point-of-sale system
  • A team-player attitude and a knack for solving problems on the spot
  • Food safety basics, for those working in the Snack Shop
Physical Requirements
  • Constantly on your feet at the register, service desk or Snack Shop
  • Regularly lifts and moves items up to 20 lbs; occasionally more with help
  • Snack Shop roles include brief exposure to food-prep equipment and hot surfaces
  • Some exposure to noise
Independent Judgement
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems, escalating exceptions (refunds, complaints) to management as needed.
