NVI is seeking experienced Magnetic Particle andย Liquid Penetrant Technicians to support a long-term project near Homer City, Pennsylvania. This position will work a schedule of five 10-hour shifts per week and requires experience performing inspections in accordance with ASME codes and standards. The Level II MT/PT Technician is responsible for, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Perform Level II Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) inspections to evaluate materials, components, and structures for defects or irregularities.
  • Set up and perform MT and PT examinations in accordance with applicable codes, specifications, procedures, and industry standards while producing accurate and reliable inspection results.
  • Adhere to quality control procedures and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Interpret and evaluate test indications to determine the presence and significance of discontinuities.
  • Document test results, including writing reports and maintaining accurate records of inspections.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure testing procedures meet project requirements and customer expectations.
  • Manage long-term projects effectively and professionally by communicating with customer/client representatives and management to meet established deadlines.
  • Participate in training programs to stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in non-destructive testing.
  • Provide guidance and on-the-job training to trainees and assistants in accordance with applicable codes, regulations, procedures, and the company's written practice.
  • Perform additional NDE service methods such as UTT, VT, and other certified methods as required.
  • Must be able and willing to travel in the event support is needed in other regions.

Required

  • Current or previously certified in accordance with SNT-TC-1A Level II MT and PT methods.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards, including ASME, API, AWS, and customer-specific requirements.
  • List of projects managed or performed as a Level II MT/PT Technician
  • Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to pass Motor Vehicle History Evaluations
  • Required to pass Drug/Alcohol, Fit for Duty, and Ergonomic Testing policies and procedures.
  • Required to successfully pass the Company's Level II MT and PT certification examinations upon hire to perform job duties.
  • High School Diploma or GED
