Gonzalez Companies is a partner managed firm that provides comprehensive Planning, Design, and Construction Management Services to large and small Water, Sewer and Utility Districts; Departments of Transportation; and municipalities. We are currently seeking an Entry Level Civil Engineer (May 2026 Graduate) to help serve our connection of clients and community.   • Preparation of reports, construction plans, and technical specifications for projects
  • Working under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member and assist with tasks including preparing engineering related calculations, drawings, and visual aids
  • Perform site visits and field observations before and during construction
  • Able to conduct field work, tolerate variable environmental conditions, walk on uneven surfaces, and lift and carry at least 50 pounds, when needed
  • Following corporate quality procedures
  • Collaborating with design teams consisting of multidiscipline design engineers, technicians and planners
  • Ensure that projects comply with local regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain proper documentation of projects, including design changes, reports, and test results
  • Stay updated on industry standards, building codes, and software advancements
  • Take initiative to learn new skills or technologies that improve project efficiency or design

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or similar, from an accredited university
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil3D and Microstation
  • 1-2 years of internship experience providing engineering design for storm water. wastewater, transportation, and or site development engineering projects
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Course work in water resources, transportation, or relevant coursework
