Job description

We are looking for a Child Care Assistant Teacher to encourage the healthy intellectual and developmental growth of the children at Wonder Kids Academy. You will teach and supervise them while also motivating them to use their mental capacities and exercise their imagination.

Responsibilities:
  • Follow a full schedule of activities and discover suitable teaching material.
  • Provide basic care and caregiving activities.
  • Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc) to enhance the child's abilities.
  • Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children.
  • Observe children's interactions and promote developmentally appropriate play.
  • Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action.
  • Collaborate with other colleagues.
  • Adhere with teaching standards and safety regulations as established by the official sources.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Will be required to complete Entry Level Child Care Training (ELCCT), CPR/1st Aid and Safe Sleep after hired.
  • Must be working on a high school diploma or GED.
  • Patience, flexibility and love for children.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Child care experience preferred.

Job: Full and Part-time available.

Pay: $10-$11 based on experience.

Schedule: Monday-Friday.
