Job Description

The Entry-Level IT Support Technician provides first-level technical assistance and support to end-users, resolves hardware, software, and network issues, and helps maintain IT systems and infrastructure. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our computer systems and for helping employees and clients with their technical needs. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support requests, responding to issues via phone, email, chat, or in-person.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network components.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical problems for users, including fixing error messages, resetting passwords, and assisting with software and hardware glitches.
  • Perform routine maintenance on networks and computer systems.
  • Document all support requests and resolutions in detail.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new employees with their IT setup.
  • Help educate users on best practices for computer usage and security. 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with or knowledge of various software including Windows 11 and Microsoft 365.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and issues.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor’s degree with IT focus preferred.
