How much do entry level ccma jobs pay per hour?

As of Jun 11, 2026, the average hourly pay for entry level ccma in the United States is $20.17, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $16.83 and $22.12 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What job makes $10,000 a month without a degree?

Entry-level Certified Clinical Medical Assistants (CCMAs) typically do not earn $10,000 a month; such high salaries are uncommon without advanced experience or additional certifications. High-paying roles without a degree often include specialized trades, sales positions, or entrepreneurial ventures, but these usually require skills, experience, or licensing beyond entry level. Most jobs paying $10,000 monthly generally demand significant experience, specialized skills, or higher education.

What is the difference between Entry Level Ccma vs Medical Billing Specialist?

AspectEntry Level CcmaMedical Billing Specialist
CertificationsCertified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)Typically no certification required, but certifications like Certified Medical Billing Specialist (CMBS) are common
Work EnvironmentClinics, outpatient facilities, hospitalsMedical offices, billing companies, healthcare providers
Job FocusPatient care, clinical tasks, administrative supportProcessing insurance claims, coding, billing, and reimbursement

While both roles work within healthcare settings, an Entry Level Ccma primarily focuses on clinical and administrative tasks involving patient care, whereas a Medical Billing Specialist concentrates on billing, coding, and insurance claims processing. The certifications and work environments overlap somewhat, but their core responsibilities differ significantly.

How to make $100,000 as a medical assistant?

As an entry-level medical assistant, earning $100,000 typically requires gaining specialized skills, certifications, or experience in high-demand areas such as administrative management or clinical procedures. Advancing to supervisory roles, working in specialized clinics, or obtaining additional certifications like CMA or EHR proficiency can increase earning potential. Most medical assistants earn between $30,000 and $50,000 annually, so reaching six figures often involves career growth beyond entry-level positions.

What jobs can I work as a CCMA?

A Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) can work in medical offices, clinics, hospitals, and outpatient care facilities, performing tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting with procedures. CCMA certification qualifies individuals for roles that involve direct patient care, administrative support, and clinical tasks under supervision, often requiring familiarity with medical tools and electronic health records.

Is it hard to get a medical assistant job with no experience?

Entry-level medical assistant positions often do not require prior experience, but having certification such as CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) and basic skills in patient care, medical procedures, and administrative tasks can improve job prospects. Employers may provide on-the-job training, but demonstrating a strong understanding of medical terminology and a professional attitude can help secure a position without experience.
