Location: Huntsville, AL
Pay rate: $24/HR

Position Summary:
Anistar is seeking Entry Level Cable Technicians for a long term opportunity to provide assistance with the installation, termination, and testing of various types of voice and data cables.
The ideal candidate will under general supervision, maintain a highly analytical and problem solving mindset while working as a team player. Candidates will gain experience in running, testing, and terminating low voltage equipment for large data center projects.
Technicians with exposure on working with various cables that include but are not limited to: CAT-5e, CAT-6, single & multi mode fiber optic cables. Cable installation includes: pulling, placement, termination, testing, and labeling. Knowledge of Telecom systems, TCP/IP networks, CCTV security, access control & wireless solutions. BICSI cert (current or past) a plus but not needed. We are looking for individuals who will pay attention to detail and work efficiently under minimal supervision.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with the pulling/installation of new fiber/cat6 cables in a new construction environment
  • Installation of cable support structures - fiber tray, cable tray, ladder rack, etc.
  • Manual labor - moving boxes and materials around the job site
  • Must be able to follow directions and learn
  • Must have prior commercial new construction experience
  • Must be able to work with a large team

Requirements:
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated work platforms (Boom and/or scissor lift)
  • Must be capable of lifting 50-75lbs
  • Must be able to follow directions and learn
  • Must have an OSHA10 construction or be willing to obtain one via Anistar
  • Must be willing to work Monday-Saturday as needed
