Job description

Couey’s CATV is seeking a Cable Puller to join our growing team. This position supports the installation of fiber optic and coaxial cable for underground and aerial utility construction projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist crews with pulling fiber optic and coaxial cable through conduit and aerial pathways

  • Load and unload cable reels, tools, and materials at job sites

  • Set up cable pulling equipment, rollers, and guides

  • Support directional drill and installation crews during cable placement

  • Use hand tools and small equipment safely

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and vehicles

  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE

  • Assist with traffic control and job site setup when needed

  • Report safety concerns or equipment issues to supervisors

Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical

  • Must pass pre-employment and ongoing drug screenings

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift heavy materials

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Construction or telecommunications experience preferred but not required

  • Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team

  • Must be willing to travel
