Weekend Cable Pullers are technicians who work primarily on weekends to install, route, and secure cables for electrical, data, or telecommunications systems in various settings such as construction sites, commercial buildings, or residential properties. Their responsibilities include pulling cables through walls, ceilings, and conduits, labeling them, and sometimes assisting in basic troubleshooting or installation of related hardware. This role is ideal for individuals seeking part-time work or supplemental income, and it often requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety protocols. No formal education is typically required, but some employers may provide on-the-job training or prefer candidates with prior experience in similar roles.

What does a weekend cable puller do?

As a Weekend Cable Puller, your shifts often start early and may last 8-10 hours, depending on project deadlines. You'll typically work as part of a small crew under the supervision of a lead technician, with tasks including running cables through walls, ceilings, or conduits, labeling cables, and assisting with equipment setup. The work environment can be physically demanding and may involve working in tight spaces or at heights. Safety protocols are strictly followed, and communication with your team is essential to ensure efficient and accurate cable installation.
