Eagle Eye is seeking a dependable and motivated Entry-Level Low Voltage Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with technology, working with their hands, solving problems, and learning new skills in a field environment.

Prior low-voltage experience is helpful but not required. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Training will be provided as you develop the skills necessary to install, terminate, test, troubleshoot, and maintain low-voltage systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the installation of low-voltage cabling and equipment.
  • Pull, route, secure, and organize Cat5e, Cat6, fiber optic, and other low-voltage cabling.
  • Assist with cable termination, labeling, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Install and assist with devices and equipment related to network, security, access control, surveillance, and other low-voltage systems.
  • Install cable supports, pathways, racks, cabinets, faceplates, and related hardware.
  • Read and follow basic drawings, floor plans, installation instructions, and project documentation.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and job sites.
  • Properly use and care for company tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Follow company procedures and job-site safety requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with coworkers, supervisors, customers, and other trades on the job site.
  • Assist experienced technicians and project leads as needed.
  • Learn industry standards, installation methods, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Complete assigned work accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • No previous low-voltage experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn technical skills.
  • Dependable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
  • Comfortable using basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with team members and customers.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to travel to job sites as required.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on field position. Candidates must be able to:

  • Regularly stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Work from ladders and lifts when required.
  • Lift and carry tools, equipment, cable, and materials.
  • Work in commercial construction and other job-site environments.
  • Perform work above ceilings, in equipment rooms, and in other areas typical of low-voltage installations.

Preferred Experience

The following experience is helpful but not required:

  • Construction or skilled-trade experience.
  • Low-voltage or structured cabling experience.
  • Basic networking or IT knowledge.
  • Experience with security cameras, access control, alarm, or network systems.
  • Experience using hand and power tools.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who wants more than just a job. The right candidate is interested in learning a skilled trade, developing technical knowledge, and growing with Eagle Eye.

We value employees who show up ready to work, take responsibility for their work, ask questions when they don't know something, and continually work to improve their skills.

For the right person, this position provides an opportunity to develop from an entry-level technician into a knowledgeable and experienced low-voltage professional.
