Overview
Parkwest Bicycle Casino is looking for a Barback. As a Barback you will assist with stocks, cleans and maintains beverage stations. You will also have the opportunity to assist Bartenders by performing the following duties and responsibilities listed below.

Responsibilities
  • Main responsibilities include stocking all bars for supplies prior to the start of each shift.
  • Responsible for helping the Bartender taking inventory at the beginning and ending of the shift.
  • May be allowed to provide breaks to Bartenders. Assists Bartenders and wait staff as needed.
  • Checks all orders received from the Storeroom for accuracy and quality and places orders in storage.
  • Responsible for checking all liquor bottles for broken seals.
  • Provides courteous customer service to team members and customers.
  • Maintains a clean, well-stocked work area at all times.
  • Maintain facilities and equipment in compliance with safe work practices.
  • Ensure the security of customers' property at all times.
  • Must be able to concentrate in an intense, fast paced environment with numerous distractions.
  • May be dual-rated to work in other areas when needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check, and drug test.
  • Must possess a California Food Handler Card.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Able to deal effectively and interact well with customers and co-workers.
  • Able to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Available for work which may include weekends and evening scheduling and ready for all programs and activities. Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules.
  • Able to communicate clearly with team members.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Able to work within a team environment.
  • Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Entry-level position. Previous barback or food handling experience helpful. Previous experience as a Bartender a plus.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and carry tools, supplies, and inventory up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day.
  • Position will require repetitive use of hands for the following actions; simple and power grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling and reaching for entire shift.
  • Position may require exposure to excessive noise.
  • Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
