Below is a summary of the duties and responsibilities for this role.ย 


Position Description:

This person will engage in the assembling of parts or assemblies into units by interpreting specifications, blueprints, and job orders. This person will also engage in foaming and tend to machine that sprays resins, and foaming materials. This person will also work on duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead person.ย 


Essential Functions:

Individuals will work near moving mechanical parts of machinery and electrically activated devices.ย 

Entry level mechanical level aptitude desired, experience working in manufacturing area is a plus

Must be able to work responsibly with limited supervision

Participate in continuous improvement activities that result in reducing variation and waste in the manufacturing process

Lift and position assemblies. Operate overhead hoist/crane to assist with the lifting and control of moving/positioning of assembly.

Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

Set-up and performs Assembly Department operations with minimum supervision.

Familiar with mechanical and electromechanical components.

Thorough understanding of part prints (tolerances, symbols, etc.).

Perform checks for quality of parts and make adjustments as required.

Perform other duties as assigned.

  • The Assembler is required to be on their feet using their hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear around machinery. They will also be required to frequently walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • The Assembler must be able to work in repetitive motion with hands, wrist, shoulders, etc.ย 
  • The Assembler must be capable of lifting and moving up to 15 pounds; frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.ย 
  • Entry level or 1-2 years of assembly experienceย
