Job Title: Machine Assembler

Job Description

This role focuses on building custom machines and equipment from start to finish in a clean, well-organized manufacturing environment. You will assemble complete machines and sub-components, working from engineering drawings and schematics, and play a key role in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues. Every machine is unique, offering continuous variety and the opportunity to apply and grow your technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build complete machines and sub-components from start to finish according to engineering requirements.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics to guide assembly work.
  • Assemble, install, and align mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during assembly and installation.
  • Identify and troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues that arise during assembly.
  • Fabricate parts as needed using machine shop equipment such as mills, lathes, and saws.
  • Perform welding tasks when required to support machine building and fabrication.
  • Verify that assemblies meet specifications and quality standards, making adjustments as needed.
  • Assess and resolve assembly problems promptly to keep projects on schedule.
  • Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics (required).
  • Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing, or mechanic environment (required).
  • Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for assembly and installation.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and machine building.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St Paul, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
