We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Business Analyst - Generation Reshaping/Very Large Customer in our Milwaukee, Wisconsin location. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the Milwaukee office.    

This position is part of a job family(Associate Business Analyst/ Business Analyst/ Senior Business Analyst), where experience will be the determining factor.

Job Responsibilities

As a Business Analyst for the WEC Infrastructure and Fuels Team, you will be responsible for the following: 

  • Support of the We Energies Very Large Customer tariff (VLC) origination and administration
    • Management of VLC contracts throughout their lifecycle, including amendments, renewals, and dispute resolution
    • Working with local governments, regulatory bodies, community organizations, and external stakeholders.
    • Analyze tariffs, rate schedules, and pricing structures within regulated or competitive markets.
    • Administration of VLC electric transmission and distribution system planning and operational impact
  • Perform analysis on large amounts of complex data to provide the business with fact-based insights
  • Offer internal process and user/customer perspective of simplicity, efficiency, and effectiveness into design and analysis
  • Maintain and distribute reports containing cost and schedule information to leadership and assisting work groups
  • Support the team's continuous improvement efforts by offering perspective on reporting and process improvements, and in ensuring coordination and communication across assisting work groups as to project status, milestones and expectations
  • Develop functional, process, and system documentation
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline is required
  • The Associate Business Analyst is an entry level analyst position where relevant experience is preferred
  • Strong analysis, decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) 
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple tasks under time constraints
  • Experience working with project management methodology preferred
  • Proficient in standard office software (MS Excel, Visio, Word)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with project management methodology preferred
  • Experience managing contracts throughout their lifecycle (e.g., amendments, renewals, and dispute resolution).
  • Proven experience supporting or leading business development initiatives, including stakeholder engagement and partnership development.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex rate structures into clear insights for decision-makers.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, regulatory, and external partners.

Pay Range Minimum:  $68,436.68 

Pay Range Maximum:  $135,761.08 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
