Job description

The Village of Greendale is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Management Analyst. Under the general direction of the Village Manager, the Management Analyst performs a combination of administrative, analytical, project management, communications, and organizational development work. The position provides day-to-day administrative support to the Village Manager's Office while also assisting with public communications, strategic initiatives, policy development, operational improvement efforts, grant administration, risk and insurance administration, budgeting support, economic development initiatives, and special projects that advance the Village's goals and objectives.

The first review of applications will begin on Monday July 6, 2026 Examples of Duties / Knowledge & Skills Conduct research, data collection, analysis, and policy review on a wide variety of municipal issues, programs, and services. Coordinate and manage special projects and organizational initiatives assigned by the Village Manager. Develop and maintain content for the Village website, social media platforms, newsletters, press releases, and other communication channels.

Coordinate the Village's risk management and insurance programs, including administration of liability, property, automobile, and workers' compensation insurance coverage; assist with training programs, claims management, policy renewals, loss prevention initiatives, and coordination with insurance carriers, brokers, legal counsel, and department staff. Coordinate the Village's response to public records requests; work with Village departments to identify, collect, review, and organize responsive records, coordinate with legal counsel as necessary, and ensure compliance with applicable public records laws, policies, and response deadlines. Prepare reports, presentations, grant applications, board and committee materials, policy recommendations, and other professional documents.

Assist with strategic planning, performance measurement, and implementation of Village goals and objectives. Research, pursue, administer, and monitor grants and related reporting requirements. Coordinate and support economic development, redevelopment, and community engagement initiatives.

Respond to resident inquiries and assist in resolving issues through effective communication and coordination with Village departments. Attend meetings, operate meeting A/V system, and, as needed, prepare agendas and minutes. Analyze operational processes and recommend efficiencies and service improvements.

Provide staff support to boards, commissions, committees, and task forces as assigned. Serve as a liaison between departments on assigned projects and initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned by the Village Manager.

Minimum qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science, Communications, Urban Planning, or a closely related field. At least one year of local government experience (Internship experience may be considered.) Master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
