Schedule
Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Overview

This is a hands-on electrical engineering role focused on power system studies, documentation, and field support. You will perform short circuit, coordination, and arc flash studies while helping clients understand and maintain safe, reliable electrical systems.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys technical analysis but also wants exposure to real-world electrical equipment and field environments.

What you will do
  • Perform electrical power system studies including short circuit, protective device coordination, and arc flash analysis
  • Analyze electrical systems and equipment to identify system performance and safety concerns
  • Prepare technical study reports and supporting documentation
  • Assist with project planning and coordination to help keep projects on schedule and within budget

Electrical documentation

  • Develop and maintain electrical single-line diagrams
  • Compile equipment ratings, protective device settings, and other system information
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and study data
  • Use AutoCAD and related engineering tools to support project deliverables

Field support

  • Occasionally travel to customer locations to collect electrical system data
  • Work at facilities such as schools, wastewater treatment facilities, manufacturing plants, and other industrial or commercial sites
  • Assist with arc flash label installation
  • Perform circuit breaker setting adjustments as requiredWork safely in both indoor and outdoor environments

What we are looking for
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Working knowledge of electrical power systems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, high-quality work
  • Ability to work independently and learn new systems and processes
  • Ability to manage work within project schedules and budget requirements
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
  • Experience with electrical analysis software such as SKM PowerTools is a plus
  • Strong technical writing skills for study reports and client correspondence
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with engineers, operators, mechanics, project teams, and management
  • Current driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
  • Strong commitment to workplace and electrical safety
