AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Traffic Engineer (Hybrid) based in Middleton, Wisconsin to join our traffic engineering team.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct traffic engineering analysis under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
- Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic traffic engineering and transportation planning problems.
- Conduct fieldwork such as traffic counts and site visits.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, maps, websites, or other documentation to support findings and decision-making.
- Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule.
- Work collaboratively with other engineers to solve transportation challenges.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engineer-in-Training certification (or ability to obtain).
- Relevant co-op/internship experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Experience with traffic engineering or transportation planning projects for WisDOT, municipalities, and/or other transportation agencies.
- Experience with software such as ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civil3D, Synchro, HCS, VISSIM, IHSDM or similar tools.
- Familiarity with the HCM, HSM, WisDOT FDM, and/or WisTransPortal system.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Possess excellent communication skills and teamwork abilities.
