Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

We are seeking an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist to support our accounting team on a temporary contract assignment in Richmond, VA. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bookkeeping, or general accounting experience who enjoy working in a collaborative office environment. Responsibilities
As an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will support the day-to-day accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring timely processing of transactions.
  • Process Accounts Payable invoices, vendor payments, and payment requests.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, customer payments, and account balances.
  • Review invoices for accuracy and ensure proper coding and documentation.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and customer accounts.
  • Enter financial information accurately into accounting systems.
  • Assist with account reconciliations and month-end accounting activities.
  • Maintain organized accounting files and financial documentation.
  • Prepare reports using Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding payment status and account questions.
  • Support the accounting team with administrative duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bookkeeping, or general accounting required.
  • Experience with invoice processing, payment posting, account reconciliation, and financial recordkeeping.
  • QuickBooks experience is highly preferred and may qualify candidates for higher compensation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office is preferred.
