MGC Contractors, Inc. is a 100% Employee Owned Corporation. We specialize in all forms of water and wastewater general contracting including Job Order Contracting, Construction Manager at Risk, Design-Bid-Build, and Design-Builds throughout Arizona, Texas, Utah and New Mexico.

MGC Contractors, Inc. is looking for an Data Entry Clerk for our Accounts Payable Department..

The Data entry clerk will perform a variety of accounting clerical tasks related to the maintenance of payable account records, invoices, etc.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Administer and ensure that entered items have the correct job codes.
  • Maintain proper back up files for research and reference.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure that payments are up to date.
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of data.
  • Multi-task and work under time constraints.
  • Any and all other tasks and duties assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

  • Knowledge of the general policies and practices of construction companies preferred.
  • Advanced computer and database management skills.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of personnel in a diverse work community.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position operates in a professional office environment that routinely uses standard office equipment requiring the ability to communicate in person and over the telephone with other employees, the ability to interpret printed materials and a computer screen, the stamina to maintain attention to detail despite interruptions, the ability to lift and carry supplies and files weighing up to 10 pounds and to move about the inside of the office to access supplies, office machinery, etc.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

  • This is a full-time position, On-Site Only

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) to (3) years of data entry experience preferred. Entry Level position accounts payable
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the requisite knowledge, skills and ability.
  • Construction industry related experience preferred.
  • Sage 300 or Vista Viewpoint software experience preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
