Join Knight Transportation as an Accounts Payable Associate! 

Pay Range: $19.00 - $23.00 Hourly
Schedule: Monday- Friday 8am-5pm (flexible) 
Location: 2002 W Wahalla Lane Phoenix, AZ 85027

Job Responsibilities: What you will do
Validate transactions and ensure accurate and timely payment of amounts due.

  • Audit invoices for accuracy, verify invoice information and general ledger account coding of invoices.
  • Communicate with Knight personnel and vendors via phone, email, and in person.
  • Research, and work with various company systems (ex. Payables Ledger, TMT Purchase Order system, DocAgent, Great Plains).
  • Research various discrepancies, unpaid invoices, and process timely to avoid late payments.
  • Meet deadlines and goals defined by Leaders.
  • Research problem invoices and work with terminals / vendors as needed.
  • Assist with auditing corporate card transactions.
  • Use problem solving skills to resolve AP workflow issues.
  • May cross-train A/P Staff on functions as directed by AP Leadership.
  • Maintain and positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the success of business operations in order to meet company demands and expectations.
  • Proactively work to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives.


Qualifications: What you need to bring

  • Previous AP experience preferred.
  • Experience in transportation industry preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to complete 10-key by touch.
  • Must be detail orientated.
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple tasks throughout the day.
  • Must be a solid team player.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Excel and able to use basic formulas.
