Job description

Accounts Payable LHH Recruitment is working with a growing organization located near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport who is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their accounting team. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys working collaboratively. This role is fully onsite, Monday-Friday. Hourly pay is between $23/hr-$26/hr.
The ideal candidate has experience processing a high volume of invoices, possesses exceptional attention to detail, and can prioritize deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
Responsibilities
  • Process 100+ invoices daily with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents as applicable.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies by communicating with vendors and internal departments.
  • Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and investigate outstanding balances.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with month-end close activities and AP reporting.
  • Support journal entry preparation and creation as needed (experience preferred).
  • Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Accounts Payable experience.
  • Must have experience processing at least 100 invoices per day in a high-volume environment.
  • Experience with ERP accounting systems preferred.
  • Journal entry creation experience is a strong plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
