JOB OVERVIEW:

Our Austin, TX Entertainment & Live Events team insures a variety of clients in the music, live event, film, theater, and production industries, and clients' events across the U.S. and world. When unexpected delays, cancellations or other unforeseen circumstances arise, our clients receive best-in-class support and service to mitigate their risks and exposures.
We are seeking a detail-focused individual with prior experience handling transactional documents to join our team as an Account Assistant for the Contingency team. This is a key role with our specialty team, focused on tailored coverage programs for major music festivals and global artist tours.
LOCATION: In-Office, 5 days a week in our Austin, TX office. Must be willing & able to work from 9am-6pm Monday thru Friday.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
  • Previous insurance industry experience is not required!
  • Strong administrative skills and high attention to detail / accuracy. At least 3+ years' of experience handling review and proofreading of contracts and transactional documents is strongly preferred.
  • Curiosity and an eagerness to learn! Insurance industry experience is nice to have but not required. The team can teach the important aspects of the industry, but ideal candidates will love learning, be a self-starter & enjoy variety in their work.
  • Candidates with strong, professional communication skills - both written and verbal. Ideal candidates can successfully pivot between providing detailed and accurate written communication, as well as picking up the phone and having a detailed verbal conversation.
  • High attention to detail, and the ability to learn and understand software systems quickly.
  • Candidates who adapt well to priority changes, deadlines, and consistently are quick to respond to and/or acknowledge communications (both from internal & external sources).
  • Positive and outgoing disposition, eager to work as a team but also functions well working independently.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):
  • Effective and timely communication with all clients - email, letters & telephone
  • Collect and coordinate client and event information
  • Put together accurate, timely, professional and compliant presentations, reports and other market and client documents as required
  • Review of client contracts and insurance requirements
  • Detailed review of insurance policy documentation
  • Maintain and update electronic client files
  • Such other duties as management may from time to time require

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience working in one of the following: insurance brokerage, mortgage brokerage, banking, law firm, or financial services company, responsible for handling review and proofreading of contracts and other transactional documents
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Word
  • Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skill and detailed contract review experience
  • Strong sense of urgency & speed to respond, but while maintaining high level of accuracy
  • Insurance industry experience is a plus, but not required

Compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, training, certifications, education, internal equity, and market data. This role may also be eligible for bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
