Remote Aviation Fbo information

What is a remote aviation FBO?

A Remote Aviation FBO (Fixed Base Operator) is a service provider at an airport that offers support and facilities to private, charter, and general aviation aircraft, but operates primarily through remote management or assistance. This model allows pilots and passengers to access essential services such as fueling, parking, ground handling, and crew amenities without a large on-site staff. Remote FBOs use technology and coordination with on-call personnel to deliver services efficiently, often catering to smaller or less busy airports. This approach can reduce operational costs while still maintaining high service standards for aviation clients.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote aviation FBO professional?

To thrive as a Remote Aviation FBO professional, you need knowledge of aviation operations, customer service expertise, and familiarity with fueling, aircraft handling, and ramp safety procedures, typically acquired through on-the-job training or aviation certifications. Proficiency with scheduling software, fuel management systems, and radio communication equipment is commonly required. Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities help professionals manage client needs and operational challenges remotely. These skills ensure efficient, safe, and customer-focused ground support for aircraft and crew, which is critical for FBO success in remote locations.

What are some common challenges faced by remote aviation FBO staff and how can they be addressed?

Remote Aviation FBO staff often encounter challenges such as limited on-site resources, coordination with off-site teams, and ensuring consistent communication with pilots and ground crews. To address these, it's essential to leverage reliable digital communication tools, establish clear protocols for remote coordination, and maintain strong relationships with local vendors and service providers. Adaptability and proactive problem-solving are key traits for thriving in this environment, and many companies offer ongoing training to help staff stay current with industry best practices.

Concierge Manager

Singer Drivers Club | Willow Springs Raceway | Mojave Desert, California

ABOUT SINGER DRIVERS CLUB

Singer Drivers Club (SDC) is a world-class private motorsport and lifestyle club at Willow Springs Raceway — the fastest road in the West since 1953. Set deep in the Mojave Desert, SDC hands its members the keys to six legendary circuits, elite driver coaching, concierge-level service, curated food and beverage, and an expansive outdoor pursuits program. This is more than a track. It's a founding-team opportunity to build something rare from the ground up — a club that fuses raw performance, real adventure, and genuine community at a standard set to rival the finest private clubs in the country. For the right person, this is the chance to help write the standard rather than inherit it.

SDC joins a distinguished family of private clubs and communities that includes Yellowstone Club, Moonlight Basin, Spanish Peaks, and Crazy Mountain Ranch — some of the most extraordinary member destinations anywhere. To build a career inside a collection this ambitious is a rare thing: the standard you help set here connects to a much larger world of remarkable places and the people who bring them to life.

THE ROLE

The Concierge Manager is the club's problem-solver and the member's single point of contact — the person who makes the impossible feel effortless. You'll coordinate private aviation and FBO logistics, vehicle transport, coaching and track-day reservations, travel, dining, and lifestyle requests — often all at once, and always before the member has to ask.

This is anticipatory service at its highest level. You'll build and maintain member profiles, track preferences and history, and use them to deliver a personalized experience every visit. You'll build the vendor network and the processes that make it all run — even as you run it.

You'll be the warm, calm voice on the other end of every request, managing several high-priority threads at once without dropping one. When a member needs something no one's asked for before, you find a way.

In a private club, the concierge is the heartbeat of member relationships. You'll know members by name, anticipate what they need, and become someone they genuinely look forward to seeing.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Anticipatory, preference-based service delivery
  • Managing multiple high-priority requests simultaneously
  • Coordination of travel, private aviation/FBO, transport, and reservations
  • Creating itineraries for members, guests, and prospective members
  • Maintaining comprehensive, accurate information on dining, amenities, activities, and events
  • Building member profiles, tracking preferences, and charging services in a club management system
  • Interfacing across departments to fulfill member requests
  • Handling inquiries by phone, email, and in person
  • Vendor sourcing and relationship management
  • Poise, discretion, and polished written and verbal communication
  • Resourcefulness in a build-as-you-go environment
  • Warm, relationship-driven member engagement

EXPERIENCE

  • 3+ years in concierge, luxury hospitality, or high-end member / personal services
  • Experience serving a VIP, high-net-worth, or repeat clientele
  • Comfort building processes and vendor relationships from scratch
  • Private aviation or luxury travel coordination a plus
  • Familiarity with concierge, member-management, or club management software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Work other IT systems including SmartSheets, TEI, PaceSetter, TripleSeat, and others preferred
  • Track record of discretion with sensitive information

DETAILS

  • On-site, remote desert location; weekend and event-day availability required
  • Adherence to club grooming and uniform standards
  • Reports to the Director of Member Services

Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with members, supervisors and subordinates.

BENEFITS

  • Medical, Dental, Vision benefits (FSA/HSA/DFSA options)
  • Lifestyle Spending Account (LSA) - Annual $650
  • Company-paid employee Life Insurance, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability
  • 401K with Bi-Weekly Employer Match
