Job description

Enterprise Account Software Engineer
Clearance Level: Top Secret w/ Polygragh
Location: Herndon, VA, (Hybrid / Onsite as required by customer)
Clearance: Must possess an active TS/SCI with a Polygraph
We're a fast-growing AI company building products that turn unstructured data into trusted, structured intelligence. Our customers span national security, defense, financial services, and research security... and demand is accelerating. As we expand across the national security landscape, we're standing up a new Enterprise Account Engineering function to ensure our mission customers get world-class support and maximum value from our technology.
About the Role
The Enterprise Account Engineer is the post-sales technical point of contact for Finch AI's National Security customers. You will work deeply with our enterprise users to deploy, integrate, optimize, and troubleshoot Finch AI products across highly complex, secure, and often air-gapped environments.
This role sits at the intersection of engineering, customer success, and mission operations. You'll spend your time solving hard technical problems, integrating diverse data sources, advising on deployment patterns, supporting customer workflows, and ensuring our products deliver real impact on day one and scale with mission needs.
If you enjoy working hands-on with cutting-edge AI systems, thrive in fast-moving environments, and want to directly influence how mission customers use AI for national security challenges, this is the role.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the enterprise-level technical owner for assigned National Security accounts post-sale.
  • Lead deployments, integrations, and configuration of Finch AI software in on-prem, hybrid, and air-gapped environments.
  • Build and support agentic workflow integrations and using ETL using tools such as LangChain, (Apache - Nifi, Airflow), REST APIs, and system-to-system messaging pipelines.
  • Stand up and maintain containerized and orchestrated environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) required for Finch AI product deployments.
  • Integrate diverse data types such as email, chat, reports, documents, structured data, and unstructured text, into enterprise pipelines.
  • Support integrations with on-prem LLMs, RAG pipelines, and secure model-serving architectures.
  • Partner closely with Customer Success, Product, and Core Engineering to triage issues, prioritize enhancements, and advocate for customer needs.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting across the full stack (infrastructure, data pipelines, application layer, APIs, connectors, and agentic workflows).
  • Deliver technical training, runbooks, and best-practice guidance to mission users.
  • Participate in customer onsite meetings, technical exchanges, testing events, and readiness reviews.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for enterprise customers on how to operationalize Finch AI in mission environments.

Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI with Poly.
  • Strong software engineering or DevOps background, ideally supporting secure or classified environments.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Terraform, container orchestration
    • AWS (GovCloud experience is a plus)
    • Python, LangChain, and modern agentic frameworks
    • Secure deployment patterns for on-prem LLMs and RAG architectures
    • Data ingestion pipelines including Apache NIFI, Airflow, Kafka, or similar
    • API integration, microservices, REST, and event-driven systems
  • Ability to integrate SaaS or hybrid SaaS products into restricted or air-gapped enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting mission users in DoD, IC, or federal civilian agencies.

Additional Preferred Skills
  • Technical depth in Cybersecurity, Cryptography, Blockchain analytics, or advanced research methodologies.
  • Familiarity with enterprise log sources, structured/unstructured data fusion, or threat-intelligence workflows.
  • Experience with MLOps, vector databases, and structured AI output pipelines.
  • Strong communication skills where you can walk into a SCIF, brief a CTO, sit with analysts, and whiteboard a deployment all in the same day.
  • Ability to thrive in a rapidly growing startup environment where customer needs evolve quickly.

What We Offer
  • The chance to directly support national security missions using meaningful, high-impact AI technology.
  • Fast-paced growth, real ownership, and the ability to shape both the role and the broader Account Engineering function.
  • Competitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities for advancement as Finch AI scales.
